2 men charged with murder after body of 29-year-old man found lying in driveway of Polk County home

LIVINGSTON, Texas – Two men have been charged in connection with the death of another man whose body was found outside in Polk County Wednesday, according to detectives with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.

Toby Wayne Ford, 24, and Shawn Anthony Thor, 24, both of Livingston, have been charged with murder in connection with the death of Timothy Jacob Neal, 29, also of Livingston. A mugshot photo of Thor was released to the public.

What happened

Deputies received a 911 call about an unresponsive man lying in a driveway, located in the 2800 block of Duff Road.

When deputies arrived, they found the man’s body in the driveway and immediately investigated to determine the incident to be a murder scene.

During the investigation, one the the suspects, Ford, was located and taken into custody. He was booked into the Polk County Jail.

Later in the day, detectives said they were able to make an additional arrest in the homicide. Detectives, with the assistance of the Texas Rangers, obtained an arrest warrant for Thor.

Thor was also taken and booked into Polk County Jail. His bond was set at $250,000.

Due to the ongoing investigation of this case, no further information has been offered at this time.
