1 dead, 1 injured after drivers run 2 red lights, crash

One man died, and a second man was injured after they both ran red lights and their vehicles crashed in north Harris County on Saturday, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said. (KPRC)

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – One man died, and a second man was injured after they both ran red lights and their vehicles crashed in north Harris County on Saturday, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies were dispatched to the incident at the intersection of Gears Road and T.C. Jester Boulevard around 10:07 p.m.

One of the vehicles had been heading westbound on Gears Road while the other turned left to head north on T.C. Jester Boulevard.

One of the drivers was killed in the crash. The second driver had superficial injuries and is expected to be OK.

There were no other people involved, and the names of the drivers have not been released.

This crash is being investigated.
