Explosion in building reported in Webster; cause under investigation

WEBSTER, Texas – Emergency crews responded to an explosion inside of a building Tuesday in Webster, according to the Houston Fire Department.

The explosion was reported around 2:30 p.m. in the 800 block of Bay Star Boulevard.

Firefighters said there were no injuries or transports reported.

Witnesses told KPRC 2 they heard an explosion and saw some debris land on a car in the parking lot.

Residents are asked to avoid the area due to high emergency traffic.
