Katy residents experiencing water outage due to water main break, officials say

KATY, Texas – Several residential areas in Katy experienced a water service outage Thursday due to a water main break, according to Assistant Public Works Director Jason Rivera.

Officials said a contractor struck a city water main at FM 1463 and Spring Green.

The contractor and City of Katy water technicians were able to isolate the break and will continue to repair the break.

Around noon, water was restored to the Avalon at Spring Green and Woodcreek Reserve subdivisions. Residents in the Reserve of Katy are still experiencing an outage, according to Public Works.
