Residents at the apartment complex told police they heard multiple gunshots outside, Crowson said. When they looked outside, they saw the man lying on the street.

Paramedics arrived and pronounced the man dead at the scene. His age is currently unknown.

It is unclear at this time what led to the shooting.

No suspect information is available at this time, however, residents told police that the suspect was believed to have gotten away in a dark-colored sedan.

Crowson said investigators will likely check to see if any residents at the apartment complex have surveillance cameras that captured the shooting.

Anyone with information in this case is asked to call HPD Homicide Unit at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
