Sketch released: Police searching for man who shot man, woman in southwest Houston

HOUSTON – Houston police have released a composite sketch of a man who shot a man and woman on July 3.

Police describe the suspect as a male with the left side of his head shaved.

The shooting happened in the 9400 block of West Sam Houston Parkway South service road/Beltway 8 about 2:15 p.m. HPD officers responding to the shooting found a man and a woman suffering from gunshot wounds. They learned Aychell Oliva Garcia and Mijdala Garcia Lazo were driving in the parking lot when the unknown suspect fired at their vehicle from between apartment buildings. Witnesses told officers the suspect fled the scene on foot.

Oliva Garcia, 38, and Garcia Lazo, 58, were transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
