Traffic alert: Emergency crews on scene of fatal crash on I-10 East Freeway inbound near Mercury
Woman dies in fatal crash on East Freeway, police say
HOUSTON – Traffic is backed up along the East Freeway inbound at Mercury due to a fatal crash.
The incident happened shortly before 11 a.m.
Information is still preliminary, but Houston police have said a woman became stuck between a wall and the truck. It was not known if she was riding in the truck at the time of the crash.
Aerials from Sky 2 show a box truck lying on its side. Views do not show any other vehicles involved.
The Houston Fire Department is on the scene.
