Accused robbers shoot Family Dollar store clerk in northeast Houston, police say

HOUSTON – Houston police are investigating after they said a store clerk was shot by one of the multiple suspects that were robbing a Family Dollar store in northeast Houston Wednesday.

It happened in the 3100 block of Collingsworth around 9:30 p.m.

According to officers, one of the suspects shot one of the clerks during the course of the robbery. An unknown amount of money was also taken from the cash register before the suspects fled the scene, police said.

Officials with the Houston Fire Department transported the gunshot victim, who remains in stable condition.

A search is currently underway for the suspects involved.
