Man shot during apparent road rage shooting in Texas City, police said

TEXAS CITY – Authorities are responding to the scene of a shooting that stemmed from an apparent road rage after a man was shot while inside a truck in Texas City.

According to Texas City Assistant Police Chief Jess Colwell, the man was shot while driving on Highway 3 and 25th Street Wednesday afternoon just before 3 p.m.

The man was taken to the hospital. Officials have not released the status of his condition.

At this time, it is unclear what prompted the road rage incident.

Officials said no suspect has been arrested.

Parts of the roadway near the incident were shut down for investigation.
