Caught on Camera: Suspect lurks in tree near ATM, robs 2 victims at gunpoint, police say

HOUSTON – Houston police need help identifying the suspect seen lurking in a tree and later robbing two people at an ATM in northwest Houston on Oct 20.

Police said, shortly before 8:30 a.m. at the 2200 block of Gessner, the first victim was in his vehicle and had just withdrawn cash when an unknown male appeared pointing a gun and demanding cash. The victim complied and handed over the money, then drove away and called 911.

Another victim later pulled up to the ATM and was also robbed by the same suspect a short time later, police said. That victim saw the suspect run across the street, get into a green Toyota SUV and flee the scene.

Police said the suspect has a medium complexion and spoke English and Spanish. He was wearing black shorts, a black hoodie and used a small revolver gun.
