Jimmy Kimmel devoted a couple of minutes of his opening stand-up routine to the tiger, referencing tweets from the Houston Police Department and showing footage of the tiger from when the animal was prowling on a Houston residential lawn and street.

It was in reference to this tweet that Kimmel quipped, “Listen, if I see a tiger, I’m not dialing ten numbers. I’m dialing 9-1-1 and that’s it.”

Kimmel also featured the tiger in a mock mug shot as well as a disguise, and referenced “Tiger King” star Joe Exotic.

“In order to catch a tiger, you must free the tiger king,” Kimmel joked.
