HPD investigating 3 shootings in north Houston in less than 2 hours

HOUSTON – Houston Police Department is investigating three shootings across different locations in north Houston. One was killed and at least three others were shot, officials said.

Around 2:30 p.m., police responded to reports of a major crash at West Little York Road and De Priest Street. When officers arrived, they discovered gunfire at the intersection.

One person was shot and then transported by ambulance to a local hospital. The victim is in critical condition, officials said.

Less than an hour later, another shooting occurred at Knox Street and West Little York Road. One person was shot and pronounced deceased at the hospital.

Shortly after, there was a third shooting on the 800 block of De Priest Street. At least two people were shot, according to HPD.

HPD says it is unclear at this time if the shootings are connected.

There is also no suspect information available.
