FBI responds to Cypress Ranch High School after reported threat prompts increased security

CYPRESS, Texas – The FBI was called to Cypress Ranch High School on Monday after a threat was reported that prompted increased security at the school.
According to Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District police, dispatchers received a call about a threat in the area of the school. Police said they initiated a “secure the building” mode and a search of the premises was conducted.

Police said Warner Elementary School and Smith Middle School were also secured as a precaution.
The nature of the threat was not released.
Students were safely released, officials said.
