Woman killed, 3 injured in southeast Houston shootings, police say

HOUSTON – An investigation is underway after a shooting that left a woman dead in southeast Houston Wednesday, police said. Officers said they are now working to determine if three other shootings are connected to that incident.

Officers said they responded to reports of a shooting in the 4600 block of Aledo Street around 10:26 p.m. When they arrived at the scene, police said they located a woman who had been shot.

Police said the woman was transported to the hospital by an ambulance, where she was pronounced dead. According to investigators, this may have been a drive-by shooting.

Officers said another person with a gunshot wound was located by the Houston Fire Department on Cullen, which is down the street from the original scene, and transported to the hospital in unknown condition. Police said that shooting happened two hours later from the shooting on Aledo.

According to investigators, two other gunshot victims arrived at the hospital in unknown conditions. It is unknown if they’re connected to this shooting.
