Big turn out for Houston Zoo on first day of reopening

HOUSTON – Parents have been struggling for months to keep their children entertained at home. So Wednesday’s reopening of the Houston Zoo provided a welcome distraction for many families.

It was a big turnout on the zoo’s first day back open.

KPRC 2 reporter Taisha Walker got an inside look at the zoo. Houston Zoo says it could have reopened weeks ago but chose to wait and make sure all the right safety precautions were in place.
