TEXAS – This Saturday, The Evidence Room returns with an all-new, hour-long episode called ‘The Sniper.’ The episode examines a string of deadly armored truck robberies in 2016, when two armed guards were shot and killed while servicing ATMs.
The mastermind behind the deadly robberies was Redrick Batiste, who law enforcement considered a serial killer.

“Why do you use the term, serial killer?” asked 2 Investigates Robert Arnold.
“Because it was his intention,” said Asst. U.S. Attorney Rick Hanes. “First part, commit murder. Second part, grab the money.”
In this episode, we’ll take you inside the case that ended Batiste and his crew’s crime spree. We speak with investigators who spent months engaged in ‘high-risk surveillance’ to learn Batiste’s movements and eventual targets. This was a joint operation between the FBI, Houston Police, and the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
This investigation also helped solve the cold-case murder of a Houston pastor.
