Houston police have arrested and charged 25-year-old Everett Wright with murder in connection to his wife's death.

HOUSTON - A man has been arrested and charged with murder after his wife was found fatally stabbed in her car Wednesday.

Houston police said 25-year-old Everett Wright was taken into custody the same day of the deadly incident and charges were filed Thursday.

Houston police said they believe the woman, who was identified as 30-year-old Kaouta Domingue, was driving the car down the street with a male passenger, believed to be Wright, when she was attacked. The car was found crashed into a ditch with its hazard lights flashing.

Police said it appears the man who was in the car jumped out, stole a red Jeep and fled the scene.

He is expected to appear in court on Monday.
