HOUSTON – Two men were arrested after whipping two boys who they say were throwing rocks at their horses, according to Houston police.
Michael R. Gant, 28, and Leo P. Richardson, 24, are charged with injury to a child.

Gant and Richardson occasionally use the boys, ages 8 and 9, to clean out horse stalls in stables in the 9100 block of Simmons Street in northeast Houston.
The men learned the boys had thrown rocks at the horses and decided to punish them for it. The men picked up the boys, telling them they were going to clean the stables, but instead whipped the boys with switches, police said.
The boys ran away and told their mothers. Police say the boys had cuts on their backs.
Gant and Richardson are both being held on $5,000 bonds.
