Houston rodeo breaks attendance record

75,565 fans in attendance Sunday at Calibre 50 show

HOUSTON – Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo officials said it broke an all-time paid rodeo and concert attendance record Sunday.

The rodeo featured Calibre 50 in concert Sunday, with 75,565 fans in attendance.

The previous record was set on March 19, 2017, on Go Tejano Day, when Banda El Recodo and SIggno performed in front of 75,557 people.

The previous records include:

  • March 13, 2016: Banda Los Recoditos and Los Huracanes Del Norte, with 75,508 in attendance.
  • March 15, 2015: La Arrolladora Banda El Limón and La Maquinaria Norteña, with 75,357 in attendance.
  • March 10, 2013: Julian Alvarez and Los Invasores de Nuevo Leon, with 75,305 in attendance.
  • March 16, 2014: Banda MS and Pesado, with 75,224 in attendance.
