The grants total $375,000.

"Visit My Neighborhood" is a pilot program through which the Houston Arts Alliance partners with community-based organizations to expand arts and cultural experiences for residents and visitors based on their knowledge and expertise in a local community.

Here is the list of the five communities that received grants:

  • Acres Homes
  • Gulfton
  • Second Ward
  •  Near Northside
  • Third Ward.

For a year, the groups will develop arts and cultural experiences that highlight their community's  unique identity.

They can do this through a range of events, including visual and performing arts activities.
