Drive-thru ambush at Shipley Do-Nuts caught on camera

HOUSTON – Crime stoppers and the Houston Police Department are asking for your help in finding three suspects involved in a brazen robbery at a Shipley Do-Nuts along Westheimer Road near S. Dairy Ashford Road.

The store has several security cameras both inside and outside the shop. The cameras captured crystal clear images of what happened.

On Dec. 17 at 11:30 p.m., five men pulled up to the doughnut shop on the westside. One man gets out with a gun and aims it at an employee before sliding through the drive-thru window. Three more men exit the car and follow through the window.

Once inside, the men pace through the back of the store. At one point in the video, a suspect forces an employee down to the ground. According to HPD, once the suspects took money from the registers, they fled in a silver four-door vehicle.

The news surprised customers.

“It saddens my heart because hardworking people, they are trying to make a living and then you have people who are trying to get something for nothing,” Martin Vasquez said.

Law enforcement believes these same suspects have been involved in six robberies between Harris County and Houston.
