Convicted sex offender now accused of sexual assaulting woman in Webster

WEBSTER, Texas – A simple get together for a 21-year-old woman turned into a horrifying discovery for Webster police.

Detective David Nettles with the Webster Police Department said evidence recovered from 30-year-old Aaron James Alex Lawrence leads him to believe Lawrence is a serial rapist.

"It wasn't always the same M.O. but he was always victimizing these young women,” Nettles said.

Lawrence, who is a convicted sex offender, is facing a sexual assault charge after the woman, who worked with Lawrence at a bar, told police Lawrence drugged her, sexually assaulted her at his place and then sent explicit pictures of the victim from her phone to his.

When Nettles searched Lawrence’s phone, he found two more victims also being taken advantage of by Lawrence.

“They were unconscious and being molested,” said Nettles.

Nettles said another victim came forward claiming Lawrence also sexually assaulted her. Police now believe there are more victims out there that they are hoping could come forward.

“Not everybody knows that they have been victimized this way,” said Nettles.

Webster police are asking anyone who believe they have been victimized by Lawrence to contact them.
