Body recovered from Towne Lake matches description of missing man

CYPRESS, Texas – The Harris County Sheriff's Office found a body matching the description of a missing man in Cypress.

The sheriff's office had been looking for 29-year-old Jordan Davenport, who failed to report to his job on Oct. 29.

Davenport was last known to be at the Boardwalk at Towne Lake on the evening of Oct. 27. That same night a group of people reported a suspicious person in a backyard, and said some had chased the man to a bridge, the sheriff's office said.

A body was recovered Wednesday from Towne Lake that matched the description of Davenport from the night he was last seen.

The body has not been positively identified and the cause of death has not been determined,

Davenport's father, Kenny Downing, said if the body is his son's, then he believes this case has a lot of unanswered questions.
