All ladies ranch rodeo competes at Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Ranch rodeo highlights ‘cow work' at it's finest.
HOUSTON – For the first time ever at Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, an all woman’s ranch rodeo competition took place.
Cowboys and cowgirls who compete in ranch rodeo complete the same tasks that are performed on real working ranches. The teams with the fastest times win.
Ranch rodeo features calf “branding”, wild cow milking, bronc riding and pasture doctoring.
On Friday afternoon, an all ladies competition was held. The winning team took home $32,000.
Ranch rodeo continues Friday and Saturday at NRG Arena as part of the Horse Show.
