3 found dead in Pearland home, result of double murder-suicide

PEARLAND, TEXAS – Police said three people who were found dead Wednesday in a Pearland home died as the result of a double murder-suicide.

The discovery was made at a home in the 2000 block of Creek Run Drive near Castlewind Lane.

Officers said a tip came in around 10:30 p.m. that there had been a shooting inside the home, and when they went to investigate, police said they discovered the bodies of two men and a woman.

KPRC2 reporter Vincent Crivelli spoke to a neighbor who said a man, woman and child lived in the house. Police said the child was not among the victims.

Sean Jones said his brother, Kirk Jones, was living at the home with the woman.

“There weren’t no problems, not any problems,” Sean Jones said.

Sean Jones said he also wants more information from police about what happened at the home.

“They won't tell us anything. I just know my brother's dead. That’s all I know,” Sean Jones said.

Apollo Husain said the couple moved to the home about a year ago and they were friendly and never caused problems, saying he never saw police at their door before Thursday.

Husain also said he "heard three big bangs" coming from the home where the bodies were found.

Other neighbors were shocked at the events, saying the neighborhood is quiet and nothing like this has ever happened.

“I am just trying to figure out what happened because, like I said, there are never any problems out here,” said neighbor Kedric Riley.

According to police, the preliminary investigation shows the people died from gunshot wounds and there were no signs of forced entry.

Pearland police said they don't believe any other suspects are involved.

The ages and other information about the victims is still unknown.

Editor's note: A previous version of this story reported that the bodies were discovered at 4:45 a.m. Thursday. The above story has been corrected.
