Husband saves wife by shooting at would-be-robbers; 1 suspect injured, officials say

HOUSTON – A man shot at two to three men intent on robbing his wife, injuring one, Saturday afternoon in Katy, according to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.

The shooting was reported around 2:30 p.m. at 3099 Fry Road.

Gonzalez said the wife was targeted by the men and her husband was able to retrieve a pistol and shoot at them, striking one. The injured suspect was taken to a hospital and is being treated for his wounds.

A second man who fled the scene is described black, in his late teens to early 20s and 5 feet, 4 inches tall. Officials said it is unknown if he was injured.

No arrests have been made.

Harris County deputies are investigating the scene.
