Brookshire mayor found not guilty of assault

BROOKSHIRE, Texas – The mayor of Brookshire has been found not guilty of assault.

Mayor Eric Scott was accused of injuring his secretary after he allegedly slammed a door on her knee in June.

The trial wrapped up Thursday afternoon and he was cleared of all charges.
