Police search for man accused of kidnapping, killing girlfriend in SE Houston

HOUSTON – Houston police are searching for a man accused of shooting his girlfriend to death Saturday in the Southbelt area, officials said.

The shooting was reported at 10:38 a.m. in the 9900 block of Windmill Lake Boulevard. Officers found the woman unresponsive in the back of a black Chevrolet Tahoe, police said. She was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.

It was later learned that the woman's boyfriend, Aldo Rene Rodriguez, kidnapped her from Pearland and fatally shot her inside the Tahoe, police said.

The couple had two children together, police said.

Rodgriguez has violent a past and currently has four felony warrants out for his arrest.
