Construction workers cause gas leak near River Oaks shopping center, officials say

HOUSTON – Emergency crews were called to a gas leak Thursday in River Oaks, on West Gray near Shepherd.

Officials said a gas line was hit at a construction site near a shopping center. 

CenterPoint crews were called in to assess the damage.

No one was injured.

No evacuations were reported in the area.
