Man found shot to death in apartment

HOUSTON – Police said Thursday they are investigating a fatal shooting in southwest Houston.

Hermfilio Frances, 40, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The shooting was reported at 6:32 a.m. in the 10600 block of Beechnut Street, near Wilcrest Drive.

Officers arrived at the apartment complex to find an apartment door damage by gunfire. Frances, who had multiple gunshot wounds, was found on the floor, according to officers.

Police said there is no motive or suspect yet.
