Lightning strike causes fire at northwest Harris County Holiday Inn, officials say

HOUSTON – Firefighters said a lightning strike Thursday caused a small fire at a Holiday Inn in northwest Harris County.

The fire caused light smoke on the third floor of the hotel on West Road near Gessner, according to officials.

The Holiday Inn was evacuated. 

No one was injured.
