Authorities allege in court documents that the shooting happened on or about March 10.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office told KPRC that a welfare check request led them to the Willis’ address in the 9600 block of Rex Creek Court. Family members told authorities they had not seen the 51-year-old in several days.

Once there, deputies said they found the decomposing remains of a man with a gunshot wound to the head.

Court records nor authorities indicate a possible motive in this case.

Willis is being held in the Harris County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
