Men steal wallet from Cypress ER, spend nearly $700 on credit cards, authorities say

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Harris County authorities are searching for two men who are accused of stealing a wallet from the waiting area of the North Cypress Medical Center emergency room Friday night.

Authorities said the men used the stolen credit cards to go on a shopping spree in Cypress.

The victim didn't realize the wallet was missing until the charges were already made.

The men spent nearly $700, buying shoes, speakers, chips and dog food, authorities said.

The first suspect is described as a heavyset white man with a long red beard, according to authorities.

The other suspect is described as a heavyset black man who was seen wearing an Astros shirt on surveillance cameras at a store.

"North Cypress Medical Center takes the care and safety of its patients, visitors and staff very seriously. We are continuing to assist the Constable’s office in their investigation through the review of our security cameras and investigation by our Security Dept. to assist them in apprehending the suspects," the medical center said in a statement.
