WOODBRIDGE, Texas – Multiple cars in the Woodbridge Manor subdivision were damaged in Saturday night break-ins.
At least 11 homeowners, on several blocks, reported their cars were broken into as they slept.
George Jarasa discovered one of his car windows was cleanly cut out.
“As soon as we came out we saw the debris cleanly removed,” Jarasa said. “It seems like they were able to cut it nicely and use some type of suction material and pull it off.”
Jarasa recalled hearing a car alarm going off and then quickly being silenced. He believes the people responsible might have some type of silencing device.
Surveillance video from a home on Mill Branch Lane captured two people running after possibly setting off an alarm.
Jarasa said this is the second string of break-in’s his neighborhood in a matter of weeks. While nothing of value was taken from his car, he said the crooks got away with his sense of peace.
“It’s one of those feelings of violation,” he said “You’ve come to my home and you’ve taken, or attempted to do some harm.”
The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
