3 shot, 1 killed at NE Houston gas station

HOUSTON – Houston police are investigating a fatal shooting in northeast Houston on Tuesday.

Officials said one person was killed and two others were injured in a shooting in the 8700 block of Mesa Drive around 2:30 p.m.

Multiple shell casings and police activity was spotted at a nearby gas station.

Authorities said the three people who were shot were at the gas station when they were fired upon by a person, or people. Those people then left the scene.

One of the surviving victims was taken to the hospital in critical condition and the other was grazed by a bullet, authorities said.

Houston police said it is an ongoing investigation.
