Walter's Downtown to close after 16 years of live music in Houston

HOUSTON – A 16-year-old downtown Houston live music venue will be closing its doors for good Sunday.

Walter's owner Zachary Palmer made the announcement in a Facebook post Monday.

Palmer said four or five shows would be played before the venue is closed.

He thanked everyone who contributed through the years.
