Missing Uber driver found in ICU at Houston hospital, family says

HOUSTON – A 57-year-old Uber driver who disappeared Saturday in the downtown area was found in the intensive care unit at a Houston hospital, family members told KPRC 2.

Her condition is unknown.

Michelle Blagman had last been seen in the area of Houston and Washington avenues.

Family members said she was found unresponsive in her car. They said her friend was unsure when or where she was found.

On Saturday, she posted a Facebook update saying she was in an unfamiliar neighborhood and was preparing to leave. Police said she was supposed to meet with friends downtown for a Nine Inch Nails concert, but had gotten lost.

Family members said after that, no one heard from her again until Monday evening, after her picture was broadcast on Channel 2.

They said Blagman worked as an Uber driver and said she was supposed to have dropped off a frequent customer Saturday afternoon before going to the concert, but no one knows what happened after she dropped the man off.

Family said the man seemed to have a mental problem, but Blagman continued to give him rides because she needed the money.
