TEXAS CITY, Texas – A former Texas City police officer was arrested after authorities said he rammed his girlfriend's vehicle last Thursday.
Linnard Crouch, 41, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Authorities said Crouch rammed his vehicle into the side of his girlfriend's vehicle at the intersection of 23rd Street North and 24th Avenue about 2:45 a.m.
The 39-year-old woman was not injured in the crash, according to authorities.

Crouch is being held at the Galveston County Jail on an $80,000 bond.
Crouch is not new to run-ins with the law.
In 2016, Crouch stole more than $2,400 in cash from a dead man, according to authorities.

Crouch stole the Christmas money from James Mabe, who authorities said was dying or had just died while driving home near 4000 Loop 197.
The crime, recorded on a body camera, happened days before Christmas in 2016.
Crouch was charged with felony theft for the crime.
