Jo Beth Young, wife of pastor Dr. Ed Young, has died No description found
HOUSTON – Jo Beth Young, the wife of pastor Dr. Ed Young, has died, Second Baptist Church officials said in a release.
She was 80 years old.
Young was described by the church as a woman of substance and of service.
In a statement the church wrote:
“Jo Beth was the model 'pastor's wife,' always supporting Dr. Young's ministry and encouraging him. She was indeed that 'great woman' behind the 'great man.' She never wanted to be up front. Instead, she made an impact behind the scenes, extending the arms of our pastor and church to the membership and surrounding community.”
A memorial service for Young will take place at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Woodway Worship Center.
