KPRC2's Eric Braate training with Abdul Foster at Nine Innovations in Houston

HOUSTON – Abdul Foster started Nine Innovations in 2014 to give professional athletes the perfect place to train in preparation for their sport.

He’s a proven entity, having trained his brother, Arian Foster, on his way to legend status with the Houston Texans.

Now, Abdul is making his training secrets available to everyone.

He is publishing “Next Generation Football Training,” a book of offseason workouts designed to build strength and give you the competitive edge.

The idea is to give everyone the ability to be the best he or she can be. Not only in football, but in whatever sport they play.

Abdul and his team at Nine Innovations are preparing KPRC Meteorologist Eric Braate for his IRONMAN World Championship Triathlon in Kona, Hawaii, in October.

The regimen is a little different than a pro football player’s, but the idea is the same: Build strength. The stronger you are, the better your performance.

Braate is training for his triathlon as part of a fundraising campaign for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. His goal is to raise $140,000 for blood cancer research, to find a cure.
