Woman thanks first responders who helped saved her life after cardiac arrest

HOUSTON – On Thursday, Christine Doner was finally able to thank the people who helped saved her life three years ago.

After walking their dog, Doner's husband came home and found her unresponsive. He called 911 and performed CPR until Houston Fire Department EMTs and paramedics arrived.

They were able to restore her pulse.

HFD responders took Doner to a nearby hospital, where she received follow-up treatment and was able to recover.
