Houston restaurateur whips up dazzling dish with fidget spinner

HOUSTON – Fidget spinners have been banned from many public spaces, but one restaurateur is calling on people to not confiscate them but to “elevate” them, as he did with a stunning dish created with the help of the popular toy.

In an Instagram post by Houston’s REEF restaurant, a fidget spinner is used to artfully spray sauce across a plate before additional vegetables and finally meat are served up.

The post appears to be a response to the tweet by world-famous chef Eric Ripert at Le Bernardin. Ripert posted a photo of a fidget spinner on a card with the word “confiscated.”
