Man disappears on his way home from club, police say
Police call disappearance of Gerean Brown, 26, suspicious
HOUSTON – Missing now for more than a week, the family 26-year-old Gerean Brown, a father of two, is praying he'll come home.
"His kids are missing him. I'm having to listen to my grandbabies saying 'daddy, daddy.' No. It's hard," said his mother, Shirley Davidson.
Brown was last seen at Mr. A's nightclub just around the corner from his family's home May 29.
He was there with a friend, but he hasn't been seen or heard from since.
"It's been hard. Haven't been able to sleep, eat. Every time I hear a noise, I'm jumping up. And I'm so used to him being in the living room," Davidson said.
The family now fears with some witnesses changing their stories about what they saw the night Brown went missing, their loved one could be in danger or worse.
"This is a case I believe foul play is at the root of this young man missing. This mother deserves closure. And police and I both know this young man is a victim of foul play," community activist Quanell X said.
Brown's family is begging anyone with information or who may have seen him to please come forward to help bring him home safely.
"I know he's not alive, but if he is, let me know where he's at so I can take care of my child no matter what. If he's still living, I'm going to be there to care of him. I don't care what kind of shape he's in. I'm going to be there for my child," Davidson said.
Brown is described as black, 6 feet 2 inches tall and 210 pounds. He has brown eyes and hair and a tattoo on his chest that says "Texas made."
Brown was last seeing wearing a white shirt with 4 Xs down the middle, white jeans and a red belt.
Police are calling Brown's disappearance suspicious.
Anyone with information regarding Brown's whereabouts is asked to call HPD at 832-394-1840.
