Pasadena Police Department's 80th anniversary badge wins award Badge won 'Best Badge or Emblem Design' innovation award No description found
PASADENA – The Pasadena Police Department is celebrating a major milestone in style.
The department is celebrating its 80th anniversary, so it had a special badge designed to commemorate the achievement.
The department said it partnered with Smith and Warren, a U.S. manufacturer of uniform badges and insignias, to create the badge. It’s silver and includes several symbols of Pasadena including the iconic Captain Theatre, the refinery and strawberries.
The special design caught the eye of the North American Association of Uniform Manufacture and Distributors and the badge won the "Best Badge or Emblem Design" innovation award.
