HUMBLE, Texas – Main Event Entertainment, a destination for bowling and dining, opened its fifth location in the Houston area Tuesday.
The new entertainment center is at 20945 Spring Creek Crossing in Humble. It’s the latest of seven Main Event centers set to open across the United States this year, according to a news release from the company.
A kickoff event was expected to include a check presentation to the Humble Independent School District Education Foundation, which provides funding for programs, campuses and student scholarships, and promotes philanthropy in the schools and the community, the company said.
“We are pleased to introduce to the people of Humble the truly distinctive dining and entertainment experience that is Main Event,” said Charlie Keegan, CEO of Main Event Entertainment, in a written statement. “We’re inviting the entire community to come out and enjoy some delicious food, play an assortment of incredible games and maybe even try something completely new – like our high ropes adventure course or the world’s largest Pac-Man. We’ve got it all in our beautifully designed new entertainment center.”
The center is 49,000 square feet. It features 22 bowling lanes with multicolor LED lighting and luxury seating, a 9-foot-high ropes adventure course, laser tag, billiards, shuffleboard and a games gallery with more than 100 of the latest interactive and virtual video games.
Main Event has many options available for dining, as well, and it boasts a great space for private meetings, holiday parties and birthday parties.
“We are thrilled to welcome Main Event to our area,” said Jenna Armstrong, president and CEO of the Lake Houston Area Chamber of Commerce. “Not only is it a wonderful place to eat, bowl and play, but it’s a great place to work, too. We’re thankful that they’ve brought so many good new jobs to Humble, and we think the center will be a great addition to our local economy.”
The center is adding more than 150 jobs to the community, and is still hiring fun and outgoing team members. Interested candidates are encouraged to visit this website.
