3 charged with capital murder in deadly parking lot robbery

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Three men have been charged with capital murder for a deadly shooting on April 5.

Marquiet Davis, 29, was shot to death while sitting alone inside a vehicle parked in the Carl's Jr. parking lot in the 15200 block of Wallisville Road in east Harris County.

Authorities said Amir Yarbrough, Quincy Thomas and Tyre Hartley met Davis at the parking lot.

Yarbrough and Thomas entered Davis' vehicle and shot him, according to authorities.

They took a bag from the front seat and then ran to a white Nissan Sentra that was being driven by Hartley and left the area, according to authorities.

Emergency Medical Services was called to the scene, but Davis was pronounced dead.

Investigators were able to obtain evidence and eyewitness statements that placed all three men at the murder scene, authorities said.

The three men are being held in the Harris County Sheriff's Office Detention Facility without bond.

They are due in court on April 20.
