Police investigating after man found dead with gunshot wound to chest

HOUSTON – The Houston Police Department is investigating after a man was found dead in his home Sunday morning.

Police said they arrived to 12647 Ashford Meadow Drive around 1:20 a.m. to find Demetris Andrew Davis, 30, dead in his bedroom.

The Police Department said Davis' girlfriend told them he intentionally shot himself in the chest, but that they are investigating the incident.
