Homeowner gets angry, leaves burning house in northeast Houston, officials say

HOUSTON – Fire investigators are looking for a man who they said left his house in northeast Houston while it was on fire.

The fire was reported around 10:45 p.m. Tuesday at a home on Bretshire at Rebel.

Firefighters quickly got the flames under control, but the homeowner was nowhere to be found, they said.

According to the fire chief, a neighbor saw the homeowner come out of the house angry and upset, then leave the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
