Police investigate man's death in SW Houston

HOUSTON – Houston police are investigating after a man died on Friday in southwest Houston.

The incident was reported around 12:30 p.m. Friday in the 4926 block of Ridgestone Street near Ridge Creek Drive.

Police said Tyrone Cleveland, 39, was trying to hurt himself and when his family attempted to restrain him, he became unresponsive.

His brothers subdued Cleveland and called 911. Paramedics arrived and said they found Cleveland unresponsive on the floor.

Police said the man was taken to Ben Taub Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The cause of his death is pending autopsy results.
