2 men arrested after reports of shots fired near Galleria-area Starbucks

HOUSTON – Two men were arrested in relation to a shootout Thursday in the Galleria area, police said.

The incident was reported in the 2700 block of Post Oak Boulevard.

Police said an exchange of gunfire between two groups of men. One group was in a black Cadillac, which has been recovered, and the other group was in a white Cadillac, which police say is still missing.

A gun was found inside the black vehicle.

One suspect, Jeremy Arvie, 24, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and having an illegal firearm. He was released from jail on $1,000 bail.

The second suspect, Marquis Allen, 23, was arrested and charged with felony possession of an illegal firearm. He is being held on $5,000 bail.

There were no reported injuries.
